Twist your body as in step 4 while repeating steps A & B (above) and the streetboard will move slowly forward
Step Six:
Once you can move forward using the training too its time to cut it off and learn with both feet
A: Ride just as before twisting arm across body but now also twist both feel inwards
B: Move arm away from body while also twisting both feet outwards
Repeat until linking turns and moving faster
Step 7:
Once moving confidently with both feet try using bindings for extra control & jumps!
A: take your shoe and measure it against foot deck holes pressing bolts UP from base of board as shown in close up (B)
C: Place bindings through bolt and hold down with washer then nut as shown in close up
D: Shows finished binding with shoe in straps
Step 8:
In steps A-E Neil is riding and linking turns. This is called carving & its what makes the streetboard move. The faster your link these turns, the faster your will move.
With practice, these carves can make your speed up, slow down or even ride up hill!! Try it out! This is when your will really start to enjoy streetboarding
When you have gotten used to riding with bindings, try a basic strait jump. Ride strait & jump with your body weight balanced over the streetboard, lifting front foot first.
To Stop: Turn board quickly sideways and make a sitting position to break the speed
Go out and have fun and always be safe, streetboard with pads and a helmet!
